Match Rate
Match rate is the percentage of your website sessions that an identification tool successfully matches to a real person. On average, LeadSpyder identifies 30% or more of non-bot, U.S.-based website traffic. Results vary by site, by traffic source, and by audience type.
How it works in practice
The tool takes the signals from each session and attempts a match against its identity graph. The share that matches is your match rate. Your real number shows up during the trial on your actual traffic, before you commit to a plan, because the only honest match rate is the one measured on your own visitors, not a benchmark from another business.
What it is commonly confused with
It is commonly confused with a conversion rate, which is the percentage of visitors who fill out a form or buy. A 30% match rate does not mean 30% of visitors become customers. It means 30% become named contacts you can follow up with, and your own close rate applies on top of that. Confusing the two leads to wildly wrong revenue projections.
Why it matters to a business owner
Match rate is the number that determines whether identification pays for your business. A high-ticket business with a 30% match rate recovers the platform cost on a single closed deal. A low-ticket business with the same rate needs a higher volume to break even. Knowing your real match rate before you commit is why the trial exists, and why any quoted rate that is not measured on your traffic is a guess.
