Identity Graph

An identity graph is a large database that links signals, like IP addresses and device fingerprints, to real people with verified contact information. LeadSpyder's identity graph contains over 269 million U.S. profiles, which is what makes person-level matching possible.

How it works in practice

The pixel sends session signals to the graph. The graph matches the signals to a person in its records and returns the name, email, and phone. The size and freshness of the graph determine the match rate, because a larger graph covers more of the real population and a fresher graph covers people who moved or changed contact details recently.

What it is commonly confused with

It is commonly confused with a contact list, which is a static set of names a business bought or collected. A graph is not a list. It is a live mapping that connects observed signals to identities, which is why it can identify a visitor who never gave you their name. A list is a snapshot; a graph is a lookup that runs on every session.

Why it matters to a business owner

The graph is the engine. A small or stale graph produces a low match rate and a lot of empty sessions. A large, current graph is what delivers the 30% or more match rate, which is the difference between identification that pays for itself and identification that does not. The graph size is the single biggest factor in whether the tool works for your traffic.

Express Written Consent

Express written consent is the specific, documented permission a person gives to be contacted by text message. Under the telephone rules, a website visit is not express written consent. A text can only switch on after a person replies, submits a form, or calls.

SpyderScore

SpyderScore is a real-time intent rating from 0 to 100 assigned to every identified visitor. It is calculated from behavioral signals: pages visited, session depth, scroll behavior, time on site, and return visits. Scores of 80 and above trigger an instant alert to your team.

Non-Bot Traffic

Non-bot traffic is website visits from real humans rather than automated crawlers, scrapers, or bots. The 30% or more identification rate applies specifically to non-bot, U.S.-based traffic. Bot sessions are filtered out before any identification is attempted.

Person-Level Identification

Person-level identification matches a website session to a specific individual person, with a name, email, and phone, rather than to the company they work for. It is what consumer-facing businesses like dental, legal, and home services need, because their customers are people, not companies.
